2021 Year Recap

2021 proved to be quite the adventure for me. After seventeen years of having Emily's story live in my head, I finally put the pedal to the medal and wrote the damn book. Initially, I envisioned writing this novel with three parts, but once I completed part one, I knew I needed to share it with the world. And that is how Always Forward, the novella, was published.
Having Always Forward in my head for so long, I was nervous about how people would receive it. I had all the feelings about it.
Would people spend money to buy it?
Would people hate it?
Would people think it was lacking since it was only a novella?
Would Emily's story resonate with anyone?
But my supportive circle of readers ruled out every fear I had. What started as family and friends supporting me has slowly evolved into readers I have never met reading Emily's story.
For the past seventeen years leading up to this, I never thought I would truly write and publish her story. Emily and the rest of the characters in her life led this symbiotic relationship in my head. They were there, ever-evolving and growing. Yet, I didn't dare to bring them all to life.
When I finally found the courage and shoved all those fears to the side, I was full of so many emotions.
So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my independent author journey. It has not been easy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. You could even say that finding Emily's story has helped me heal, and for that, I am so grateful to have as many people in my corner supporting me.
Because of everyone, Always Forward is out there globally, and now, Chasing Ghosts will follow soon!
