A military fiction novella, Always Forward faces issues dealing with post traumatic stress, survivor's guilt and sexual trauma in captivity. Since leaving the military, Garcia has become an advocate for the mental health community and raising awareness around what it is like to live with PTSD.

Garcia has been married to her husband, whom she met in the military, for 22 years. Together, they have two daughters, three dogs and two cats. When she is not writing, she loves to run, practice yoga, working in her gardens and of course, she loves to read!!
